At CIP Psychiatry, we use QbTest and QbCheck, two FDA-cleared, evidence-based tools that help objectively measure the core symptoms of ADHD: attention, impulsivity, and activity level. These assessments provide valuable data that enhance the accuracy and efficiency of diagnostic evaluations and treatment monitoring.

ADHD & Cognitive Testing with QbTest and QbCheck

What Are QbTest and QbCheck

QbTest is a computerized assessment that combines a focus-based attention task with motion tracking to evaluate how a person sustains attention, controls impulses, and manages movement. QbCheck is the secure, web-camera-based version that can be completed from home.

Both tools are validated in more than 50 peer-reviewed studies showing that adding QbTest or QbCheck to clinical assessments improves diagnostic accuracy, shortens the time to diagnosis, and provides objective, measurable data to monitor treatment response.

Note: QbTest and QbCheck are not stand-alone diagnostic tools. ADHD remains a clinical diagnosis made by a qualified mental-health professional who integrates your history, interviews, and rating scales.

How It Works - The Testing Process at CIP Psychiatry

QbTest/QbCheck is only offered after a formal consultation is completed. It is used as part of the diagnostic process to evaluate for ADHD and will be discussed with you by your provider.

Step 1 – Payment and Scheduling

A $135 payment is required before the test is sent out. This fee covers both the QbTest/QbCheck and the follow-up interpretation session if your insurance does not reimburse for the service.

Step 2 – Testing

You’ll complete the QbTest in our office or the QbCheck from home. The test takes about 20–30 minutes and does not require preparation.

Step 3 – Results and Review

A separate interpretation appointment will be scheduled to review your results, discuss findings, and connect them to your overall clinical picture.

Step 4 – Insurance and Reimbursement

After the review appointment, CIP Psychiatry will submit the testing charge to your insurance.

• If your insurance covers the service, your $135 payment will be refunded.

• If your insurance does not cover the test, the $135 fee will serve as full payment for the testing process.
