Finding a psychiatrist who takes your concerns seriously, explains your options clearly, and follows through on your care should not be this difficult. If you have spent weeks on waitlists, bounced between providers who barely remember your name, or been handed a prescription after a 10 minute conversation with no real explanation, you are not alone. That experience is common, and it is exactly what CIP Psychiatry was built to be different from.

We are a psychiatry practice located in Sugar Land, TX, providing outpatient psychiatric care for adults both in person at our office and through telehealth for patients anywhere in Texas. Our clinical team is led by Dr. Shehram Majid, a board-certified psychiatrist who oversees all care provided at the practice.

At CIP Psychiatry, we provide compassionate and evidence-based care for patients across Sugar Land, Houston, Missouri City, Richmond, Katy, Stafford, and Rosenberg. Whether you’re seeking support for anxiety, depression, ADHD, or complex psychiatric conditions, our integrative approach ensures personalized treatment.

CIP Psychiatry is located at 7616 Branford Place, Suite 220, Sugar Land, TX 77479, near Sugar Land Town Square. The office is easily accessible from Highway 59 and serves patients throughout Fort Bend County, including Missouri City, Stafford, Richmond, Rosenberg, and Katy.

Free garage parking is available in the attached parking structure.

Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST.

For patients who prefer not to drive or who live farther away, telehealth appointments are available statewide throughout Texas. Telehealth visits cover everything an in person appointment does: evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and follow up care. Many of our patients choose telehealth not as a compromise but as their preferred way to receive care.

Who We See

We work with adults aged 18 and older navigating a wide range of psychiatric conditions. Some patients come to us with a diagnosis already in hand, looking for consistent, high quality medication management from a team that communicates well and adjusts treatment when needed. Others are coming in for the first time, not entirely sure what is going on but knowing that something is not right. Both are valid starting points.

Conditions we evaluate and treat include:

•       Depression — including major depressive disorder, persistent depressive disorder, and treatment resistant depression that has not responded adequately to prior medications.

•       Anxiety — including generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety, panic disorder, and health anxiety. We emphasize treatment approaches that avoid unnecessary reliance on habit forming medications.

•       ADHD — adult ADHD evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management, including patients who were never assessed as children. We offer FDA cleared testing tools as part of a comprehensive evaluation.

•       Bipolar Disorder — accurate diagnosis across the bipolar spectrum (Bipolar I, Bipolar II, cyclothymia), mood stabilizer management, and long term monitoring to maintain stability.

•       OCD — medication management tailored specifically to obsessive compulsive disorder, with referral coordination for Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy.

•       PTSD and Trauma — trauma informed psychiatric care, including medication management for post traumatic stress disorder and coordination with therapists trained in CPT and EMDR. We also treat complex and developmental trauma that may not meet formal PTSD criteria.

•       Insomnia — comprehensive evaluation to identify the root cause of sleep disruption, with treatment approaches that go beyond simply prescribing a sleep aid.

•       Grief and Loss — psychiatric support for bereavement, complicated grief, and the emotional impact of major life transitions including divorce, career loss, and family estrangement.

•       Mood Disorders — evaluation and treatment across the mood disorder spectrum, including cases where the diagnosis is unclear or where prior treatment has not fully worked.

If you are unsure whether your situation fits what we treat, reach out anyway. We would rather have a brief conversation and point you in the right direction than have you continue struggling without support.

What to Expect at Your First Appointment

Your initial visit is a 50 minute comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. We are not running through a checklist. We are trying to understand the full picture: your history, your current symptoms, what you have already tried, what has worked and what has not, and what your goals are for treatment.

From that evaluation, we will discuss a diagnosis if one is appropriate, walk you through your treatment options, and build a plan together. If medication is part of that plan, we explain what we are prescribing, why we chose it, what to expect in terms of benefits and side effects, and how we will monitor your response over time. You will not leave the appointment confused about what is happening with your care.

Follow up appointments are 25 minutes and include both medication management and brief psychotherapy. Some patients are stable and check in every few months. Others need more frequent contact, especially early in treatment or during a medication adjustment. We adapt to where you are clinically.
